MTG Old Frame League XVI

After playing Old Frame Legacy for the first time in the XV MTG Old Frame League, a record 16 players joined the XVI edition of our MTG Old Frame League, which took place between May 2023 and July 2023. For this league, we went back to our main format, Old Frame Vintage.

As in every other MTG Old Frame League since the 12th one, the winner got a card altered by Kevin Altered. In this case, a Strip Mine.

The 16 participants were split into 2 groups. Each of them played 7 matches, and these were the final standings to determine who would qualify for the top 4 single-elimination phase:

Based on the final standings, these were the matches that took place in the semifinals:

Nicholas Boltuc’s impressive 7-0 performance continued by winning the semifinals with his Pitch Long deck against Alex Caviris’ Rector Trix. On the other side, Víctor Martínez qualified for the finals with his Dump Truck, defeating Galen Lemei’s The Perfect Storm.

After a very intense 5 games finals, Nicholas managed to win 3-2, going undefeated for the whole tournament and becoming the XVII MTG Old Frame League champion!
