Third Unreserved Tournament – Valencia, July 6 2025

The third tournament in the history of Unreserved took place on Sunday, July 6, at Gremio de Dragones in Valencia. Eleven players showed up to battle it out using the Top 7.2 system, a unique twist on the classic Top 8.

After four Swiss rounds, the player who finished first did not meet the Top 7.2 condition of winning the last two rounds, so eight players advanced instead of seven. Since the sixth-placed player needed to leave before the playoff, the ninth got the final spot.

In the end, Paco Pérez came out on top with Phantidestic, showing just how strong the Parallax enchantments can be when they leave Premodern behind. The full final standings after elimination were:

1. Paco Pérez — Phantidestic

2. Omar Lyt — BW Control

3. Jou Baixauli — Reanimator

4. Armin Tamzarian — RW Aggro

5. José Ribes — Astral Rift

6. Vedast Sanxis — WRG Aggro

7. Luis Sevilla — The Perfect Storm

8. Alberto Herrero — GW Threshold

9. Édgar Badenes — Machine Head

10. Nacho Barrachina — UG Threshold

11. Garrofaman — GW Astral

Each event keeps showing how wide open Unreserved is. Control, combo, and aggro are all finding space to shine in this nostalgic, closed, fully reprintable format.

See you at the next one.
