Deck Construction Rules

  • Cards per deck: At least 60 plus a 15 cards sideboard.
  • Allowed sets: Arabian Nights, Antiquities, Legends, and The Dark, plus dual lands, Arena, Nalathni Dragon and Sewers of Estark.
  • Reprint rules: Every reprint is allowed, but the use of Old Frame, original art versions is appreciated.

Rules

Contemporary rules and errata are followed, with a few exceptions:

  • Falling Star: Choose any number of non-overlapping creatures on the battlefield. Flip Falling Star from a height of at least one foot. If Falling Star turns over completely at least 360 degrees during the flip, it deals 3 damage to each chosen creature it lands resting on. Any creatures damaged by Falling Star that are not destroyed become tapped.

Banned and Restricted Cards

  • Banned: Arena of the Ancients, Bronze Tablet, City in a Bottle, Golgothian Sylex, Jeweled Bird, Library of Alexandria, Moat, Rebirth, Shahrazad, Tempest Efreet.
  • Restricted: Dark Heart of the Wood, Diamond Valley, Island of Wak-Wak, Ivory Tower, Greed, Mana Drain, Maze of Ith, Mishra’s Factory, Mishra’s Workshop, Recall, Strip Mine, Sylvan Library, The Abyss, The Tabernacle at Pendrell Vale.
