On May 31 and June 1, the Old Frame World Series 2025 took place at Gremio de Dragones in Valencia, a double feature that may well mark a turning point for Old Frame formats. The event included both Old Frame Vintage and Premodern tournaments, each run with Swiss rounds followed by a Top 7.2, an alternative to the traditional Top 8 that more fairly rewards the player who finishes first in the Swiss standings and discourages intentional draws in situations where they would normally be optimal, especially at table 1.

đïž A Milestone for Competitive Magic in Valencia
For the first time, two full-day events with Top 7.2 and high-level prizes were held back-to-back, proving that Valencia has the potential to become a national, and perhaps international, hub for Old Frame Magic.
A weekend to remember⊠and maybe the beginning of something even greater.
